After reading an article in a magazine, I started to do some extensive research about the Kluane region in Yukon: wildlife, geography, climate, roads, etc. I ended up driving from Whitehorse (Yukon) to Haines (Alaska) with a detour by Destruction Bay and Carcross. This trip was very rewarding in terms of images and experiences. Fall is a great time of the year to visit that region, it was an explosion of colour: yellow, red and orange. The mountains with snowy caps, glaciers and the toundra reminded me of Denali Park in Alaska. The wildlife was ever present: foxes, Canadian lynx, brown bears (grizzlies), arctic ground squirrel, bald eagles and, of course, plenty of salmon. This has become one of my favourite places on earth, where I will definitely return. I may even organize a photo tour for the fall in 2019. I hope you enjoy my images.
